Project Overview

RJC Group delivered heritage carpentry works at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Surry Hills. The project involved the careful integration of new structural timber elements with the existing heritage fabric of the cathedral, demanding precision, sensitivity to the building’s cultural significance and close coordination throughout delivery.

Carpentry and framing works including LVLs, joist hangers, marine grade ply, insulation, foil tape, structural steel framing, fasteners, window reveals, box gutter and upturn framing
Supply and installation of window and door works, including an external roof window, skylight and aluminium window frames
Supply and installation of a solid hardwood timber door with heritage detailing, including hardware and accessories
Various timber works throughout the church

Coordinating a varied carpentry and framing scope across multiple areas of the church
Integrating new framing, window and door elements with the existing building structure
Managing detailed heritage door works alongside broader structural and carpentry requirements
